Sikim Stories: Namgyal Musuem & Chorten Stupa
We started our day at around 11 a.m. (which according to our
guide was very late :p). Our first stoppage was at the Namgyal Musuem of Tibetology.
This museum elaborated the life of Lord Buddha with old sculptures,
writings, utensils & clothes kept intact. As photography was prohibited
there I have some of these pics from Google for you.
Next to this museum is a small monastery named Chorten Stupa where we witnessed a small prayer ritual by the Lama monks.

We then went to a local handicraft gallery. This was a good
place to shop colourful handmade souvenirs like rugs, bed sheets, shawls, face masks
& crockery. I chose these lovely tea cups for my family.
Also by this time Viraaj had already slept & we had to
take turns to visit this museum. Take it from the horse’s mouth, do not keep
hectic schedule as such delays are bound to happen when you travel with babies.
