Dubai Diaries: Jumeirah Beach Resort & Madinath Jumeirah
- Royal lunch at Jumeirah beach Hotel
- Exploring the Medinnath
- IbnBatuta Mall
The above photo of the Jumeirah Beach hotel is from Google just to give you the feel of the architecture (and also because I couldn’t take pics as Viraaj had slept in my arms as soon as we reached this beautiful place!). Here we satisfied our taste buds with rich Indian food sitting by the view of Burj Al Arab.
Royalty is one constant thing that will accompany you in every part of Dubai, heavy on pockets at times but it doesn’t hurt to pamper yourself once in a while. So our friends had arranged this 50% off coupon through Entertainer- a local coupon App (god bless them) & we could enjoy this lavish lunch at half the price (Aed 400 for 4 people- also because Viraaj slept peacefully throughout the lunch-yey!).Next to the hotel is Wild Wadi Water park & all the guests staying in the hotel have a free & unlimited access to this water park.

After this heavy lunch we headed to the Madinath. The Madinath Jumeirah is an immaculately presented version of what we would all like to think a souk looks like. This is a very interesting place with very posh 5 star hotel properties within, lots of souvenir shops & pub hopping options. Also there are beautiful views of Burj Al Arab at different angles from this place- something that is very important for posers like me! Madinath is perfect for you if you want to stay at one place for the entire day shopping & tasting various middle eastern cuisines and also you might catch a glimpse of some of your favourite Hollywood celebrities here (We didn't ;)).

Tip: Only buy souvenirs from here if you have no plans to go to the local souks as this place is slightly expensive
Ibn Battuta is the world’s largest (of course it has to be:P) themed shopping mall. It has 6 courts the architecture of whose is inspired by some of the countries visited by the explorer Ibn Battuta. The 6 courts are China, Tunisia, India, Egypt, Persia & Andalusia and the interiors are beautifully carved to represent each of these country. By the time we reached here Viraaj got cranky so we quickly bought some bread buns & French fries (yea my kid is all about the finger food), got ourselves some hot coffee from Starbucks, left the husbands to manage my baby and with my friend headed for shopping to Debenhams. There is a big Bath & Body Works shop as well from where you can buy sweet scented body lotions & soaps from the U.S.
